Exodus Premieres Worldwide On 20 June Across Major Digital Platforms

Exodus Film proudly announces the global release of its debut feature film Exodus-a searing, timely, and visually arresting drama that traces the perilous journeys of three individuals forced into exile following the July 15 incidents in Türkiye in 2016. The film will be available to stream worldwide starting 20 June on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube TV, Google Play Movies & TV, and Vimeo on Demand.

Directed and co-written by Serkan Nihat, Exodus presents the intersecting stories of a university lecturer, a police officer, and an artist-each unjustly accused of terrorism and pushed to abandon their lives behind. As they cross borders illegally alongside migrants from various nations, their paths converge into a powerful narrative of survival, resistance, and humanity. Serkan Nihat brings over 15 years of directing experience and a platitude of awards to this poignant drama. His visceral approach flourishes in his bold debut into feature filmmaking, echoing the cinematic depth and narrative intensity that has become his signature.

The screenplay was penned by Erkan Çıplak and Refik Güley, both renowned in Türkiye for their work on acclaimed television dramas and feature films. This compelling production delves into the devastating human impact of political persecution, portraying the moral complexity and emotional depth of individuals wronged by a corrupt system.

The film is executive produced by Murat Kesgin, a veteran of Turkish broadcast media with more than 30 years of experience in news, documentary, and cultural programming, and Ender Zirekoğlu, an entrepreneur and media investor making his debut in international film production.
