Türkiye’s TEKNOFEST Makes Return to Istanbul This September
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s leading technology, aviation, and space festival, TEKNOFEST, is set to take place in Istanbul from September 17 to 21, Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Ministry announced Monday via social media.
The renowned event will be hosted at Ataturk Airport, drawing huge crowds with its exciting competitions, spectacular air shows, and cutting-edge technology exhibitions that captivate millions of attendees.
TEKNOFEST rotates locations annually—occurring in Istanbul during odd years and spreading across other Turkish cities in even years. Last year’s event in Adana attracted roughly 1.1 million visitors.
In 2023, the festival celebrated Türkiye’s centennial by holding three separate editions in Istanbul, the capital Ankara, and Izmir, reflecting its growing significance nationwide.
Earlier this year, TEKNOFEST expanded internationally by hosting an event in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from May 1 to 4, drawing 225,000 participants. The TRNC became the festival’s second overseas venue following Azerbaijan’s 2022 hosting.
Since launching in 2018, TEKNOFEST has welcomed nearly 10.7 million visitors, solidifying its role as a powerhouse for innovation and technological advancement in Türkiye. Anadolu has served as TEKNOFEST’s global communications partner throughout its rise, underscoring the festival’s vital contribution to the nation’s tech ecosystem.
