Kuwait Elected To Asian Air Sports Federation Board


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DUBAI, June 11 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait, represented by Chairman of Kuwait Air Sports Club Ahmad Al-Shallahi, won a seat on Wednesday on the Board of Directors of the Asian Air Sports Federation for the next three years.
The election took place during the General Assembly meeting of the Federation in Dubai, UAE, which began on Tuesday and concludes Thursday.
Members of the Executive Office for the 2025-2027 term were elected, with Yousef Al-Hammadi from the UAE as president, and representatives from eight Asian countries, including Kuwait.
Following his election, Al-Shallahi, who led Kuwait's delegation, speaking to KUNA, called the achievement a testament to the excellence of Kuwaiti sports both technically and administratively at both continental and international levels.
He emphasized that Kuwait's membership reflects its strong international standing and commitment to contributing to the Federation's decisions and activities over the next four years.
Al-Shallahi also extended his congratulations to Kuwait's political leadership, expressing hope for further progress and success for Kuwaiti sports in general, and air sports in particular, across various arenas. (end)
