Brussels Airlines Prolongs Suspension of Tel Aviv Flights
(MENAFN) Brussels Airlines has announced that it will extend the halt of its operations to and from Tel Aviv until at least June 22.
This decision, revealed on Tuesday, was attributed to ongoing instability in the region, which continues to pose significant safety risks.
This update follows a broader move by the Lufthansa Group—of which Brussels Airlines is a part—to prolong the suspension of its services to the Israeli city by another week.
The group issued a statement confirming that the delay is "due to the current security situation."
Passengers affected by the suspension have been given the option to either rebook their travel plans or claim a full reimbursement.
The airline emphasized that it is carefully observing the evolving conditions and will modify its flight schedules as necessary.
The Lufthansa Group encompasses several carriers, including Eurowings, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines.
The suspension of flights was first implemented after a missile strike by the Houthi rebels from Yemen targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.
