Mother And Child Shot Dead Over Love Marriage In Mansehra

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Mansehra: A woman and her minor daughter were shot dead in the village of Nala, within the jurisdiction of Phalrah police station, reportedly over a longstanding feud and her love marriage.

According to police, the woman had married by choice in 2021, a move that had angered her rivals. On receiving information about the incident, police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to a hospital after completing legal formalities.

The case has been registered on the complaint of the victim's mother-in-law. District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur has formed special teams to arrest the culprits.

The DPO stated that a search operation is underway and those involved in the heinous act will soon be arrested and brought to justice.
