Malta officially acknowledges State of Palestine
(MENAFN) An announcement was made by Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela on Sunday saying that Malta will officially acknowledge the State of Palestine in June.
As stated by Malta, the statement happened in a political declaration in which Abela brought up regional and international issues, which centers specifically around humanitarian critical situation in Gaza.
A newspaper cited Abela stating that with regard to Israel's vicious bombing of Gaza, which murdered almost 54,000 Palestinians, most of which were women as well as kids. As he said that "we cannot close our eyes to this human tragedy that is getting worse every day."
In addition, Abela stated that the action is an ethical duty and that Palestine will be officially acknowledged as the State of Palestine after an event on the 20th of June.
The premier was also shaken up by the dire loss of 9 kids of the Palestinian doctor Alaa Al-Najjar on Saturday when the Israeli army destroyed their home with bombs in Khan Younis, which is located in southern Gaza, severely harming her husband, who is also a doctor. The attack left only one of their children to grieve.
