Iran President, PM Discuss Ties, Gaza Developments


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Masoud Pezeshkian met HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani in Tehran on Sunday. At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Iranian president, along with His Highness's wishes for the president's continued health and happiness, and for the Iranian people more progress and prosperity.
In turn, the Iranian president entrusted HE the Prime Minister with his greetings to His Highness the Amir, along with his wishes for His Highness's continued good health and well-being, and for the Qatari people's further development and prosperity.
During the meeting, they discussed co-operation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, particularly in the economic and trade fields, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and a range of issues of common concern.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani also met in Tehran Sunday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Abbas Araghchi.
The meeting conferred on the latest updates in the talks held between the United States of America and Iran in Muscat, as part of the Omani mediation.
