Preparatory Event For URC 2025 Takes Place In Verona

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The joint developments of the preparatory event, 'On the Way to URC 2025', will be part of a joint position that the Ukrainian side will present at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Communities and Territories Development Ministry , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“This event is an important step on the way to URC 2025 in Rome. We want this conference to be the beginning of new long-term partnerships, new investment decisions, and a new policy, based on respect for what Ukraine has already done and a willingness to move forward together,” Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration, Communities and Territories Development Minister Oleksii Kuleba said.

The preparatory event took place in Verona on May 12, 2025. It was dedicated to the role of regions and communities in Ukraine's reconstruction. The pre-conference brought together government officials from Ukraine and EU countries, as well as the representatives of international organizations, local self-government authorities, civil society and business.

As noted by Kuleba during his speech, Ukraine is a reliable partner for the countries of the world today, as it has a huge experience in implementing energy solutions, sustainable operation of logistics infrastructure, business and industry, and implementation of development projects amid the full-scale war.

According to Italian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Antonio Tajani, Italy intends to play a leading role in rebuilding the economy of Ukraine, namely in restoring its production infrastructure. He also confirmed the unwavering support of Ukraine and the readiness of the Italian government to cooperate with international partners to achieve a just and lasting peace.

A reminder that the Ukrainian Economy Ministry began to receive applications from Ukrainian businesses willing to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, taking place in Italy's Rome on July 10-11, 2025.
