Dubai Culture Concludes Inaugural Piano Camp


(MENAFN- Cicero & Bernay A Communication Consultancy) Dubai, UAE, 7 May 2025: Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has wrapped up its inaugural Piano Camp, organised in strategic partnership with HOUSE of PIANOS and Steinway & Sons Dubai. Designed to spotlight emerging talent and empower a new generation of Emirati artists, the six-month programme welcomed 17 performers for piano lessons, masterclasses, lectures, and technique workshops covering classical piano performance and music theory.
Throughout the camp, the students explored the history of classical music, which helped refine their skills and enrich their expressive range. All participants advanced through the first and second rounds of the 1st Steinway Piano Competition GCC 2025, evaluated by an esteemed panel of Steinway Artists, renowned composers, professors, and internationally acclaimed pianists.
Fatma Al Jallaf, Acting Director of the Performing Arts Department at Dubai Culture, highlighted the Authority’s drive to build a robust foundation that nurtures the growth of the music sector across the emirate. Shavkat Mamadjonov, Founder of HOUSE of PIANOS UAE, expressed his pride in the participants' achievements. The Piano Camp programme forms part of the Dubai Cultural Grant, an initiative under the emi’ate’s Quality of Life Strategy. It seeks to develop the cultural and creative industries in the emirate through a dedicated fund of AED 180 million over 10 years, offering targeted grants to support and empower Emirati and UAE-based talent artists. This further reinforces’Dubai’s position as a global centre for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.
