Kuwait's Namaa Charity: 12,000 Beneficiaries From Iftar Project In Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, March 29 (KUNA) -- Namaa Charity, part of the Kuwait Social Reform Society, concluded on Saturday its "Iftar" project, which included more than 12,000 beneficiaries in six Yemeni governorates, as part of the 10th "Kuwait is By Your Side" campaign.
Namaa Charity said in a press release that it distributed, in cooperation with local Yemeni partners, 9,500 iftar meals and 400 food baskets to families in need in six Yemeni governorates.
CEO of Namaa Chairty Saad Al-Otaibi expressed his appreciation to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for their continuous support for charitable and humanitarian work.
He pointed out that the Iftar project comes as part of Namaa's commitment to support the Yemeni people in light of the difficult circumstances they are under, and to work with local partners to deliver aid to those in need.
For his part, President of the Hadramout Foundation for Development, Saeed Al-Bahsani praised the efforts of Namaa Charity in support those in need, embodying values of humanity.
In turn, Director of the Hattin Foundation, Dr. Jamal Al-Faqih pointed out that the project has had a clear positive impact in the targeted governorates, expressing his appreciation for the charity in providing relief and aid. (end)
