(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Mar. 27 (Petra) – Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Majed Qatarneh, and Director General of the Jordan Post Company (JPC), Hanadi Tayeb, on Thursday signed an agreement to provide consular services outside the Kingdom.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nancy Nimrouqa, and Chairman of JPC Board of Directors, Sami Daoud, attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement aims to facilitate procedures related to consular services, mainly passaport authentication, receipt, and delivery, as well as official document authentication services for Jordanian citizens and service seekers at the Kingdom's embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
According to a joint statement, the move will "save citizens' time and effort and ensure provision of the best services."
As for its first phase, the agreement will be implemented in the United States, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, while the possibility of expanding scope of services globally will be decided in the second stage.
