Geneva: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned the violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these violations.

Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva Abdulmohsen bin Khathaila stressed, during his speech before the Human Rights Council on the human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, the Kingdom's rejection of the Israeli occupation's establishment of an agency aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the ratification of the separation of 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the West Bank, considering this a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

He also expressed the Kingdom's condemnation of the Israeli bombing of Syrian territories, noting that these attacks represent a serious threat to the security and stability of Syria and the entire region.

He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these violations and working to halt all Israeli military operations, whether in the Palestinian or Syrian territories.

He concluded his speech by emphasizing that peace will only be achieved by the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He also reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's full solidarity with the government and people of Syria, calling for respect for its sovereignty and an end to all violations that threaten its security and stability.
