Submission period ends for international essay contest on global economic development
(MENAFN) The submission period has ended for an international essay contest on global economic development, held in conjunction with the upcoming Open Dialogue forum, "The Future of the World: New Platform for Global Growth." This event, set to take place from April 28-30 at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow, will bring together leading economists, industry experts, and global representatives to discuss key economic challenges and strategies for future growth.
According to Natalia Virtuozova, the forum’s director, the contest attracted significant interest and broad international participation. A total of 695 essays were submitted from 101 countries, with particularly active contributions from Russia, Mexico, India, China, Oman, and Italy. Additional entries came from Egypt, Vietnam, Türkiye, Colombia, Canada, France, and Transnistria.
Given the overwhelming response, the submission deadline was extended from March 9 to March 15. Contestants were required to present their ideas in either a five-page essay or a 10-minute presentation in their native language.
Key Themes of the Contest
Participants explored four major topics:
•Investments in Human Capital – Addressing demographic challenges, economic migration, AI's impact on the job market, youth unemployment solutions, advancements in education, public well-being, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
•Investments in Technology – Examining innovations for food security, breakthrough industrial technologies, AI as a transformative tool, tech-driven healthcare improvements, disaster prevention, climate-conscious water resource management, sustainable energy solutions, and smart city development.
•Investments in the Environment – Focusing on sustainable urban infrastructure, accessible transportation, climate-resilient urban planning, corporate social responsibility, disaster management, inclusive public spaces, sustainable consumption, and eco-friendly tourism.
•Investments in Communication – Exploring the future of global trade, emerging logistics routes in the Global South and East, evolving insurance industry responses, financial flow optimization, digital currencies, data mobility in global communication, and advancements in e-commerce and logistics platforms.
