Trump Demands Iran to Stop Supporting Houthis

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, United States Leader Donald trump emphasized that Iran must fully cease any aid it is allegedly providing to the Houthi rebel party in Yemen, threatening their complete destruction.

Trump indicated that despite reports suggesting Tehran had reduced its support for the Houthis, Iran is "still sending large levels of Supplies." It remains uncertain whether the leader was referencing reports from his own administration or from the media.

"Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY. Let the Houthis fight it out themselves," Trump declared on his personal social media platform.

He further added that, "Either way they lose, but this way they lose quickly. Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It’s not even a fair fight, and never will be. They will be completely annihilated!"

Earlier in the day, regional media reported that the Houthis claimed new airstrike operations by US military aircrafts on regions in northern and western Yemen.

Additionally, Yahya Saree, the military representative for the Houthi party, announced in a televised address that they had targeted the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier in the Red Sea using multiple rockets and drones.
