Industry Ministry Convenes With Development Partners On Private Sector Growth

Amman, March 19 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply convened a strategic coordination meeting with key donor agencies, international development organizations, and development partners active in private sector development.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Ministry emphasized the gathering's focus on reinforcing its pivotal role in private sector development and employment generation.
The Ministry underscored its commitment to establishing partnerships with the donor community to implement plans designed to enhance the competitiveness of economic sectors.
The meeting, organized in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), featured a comprehensive review of the Ministry's priorities in bolstering private sector competitiveness within established policies and strategies aimed at export promotion, product and market diversification, and strengthening industrial sector competitiveness in alignment with Economic Modernization Vision targets.
Ministry Secretary-General Dana Zoubi emphasized the imperative of reinforcing partnerships with donor agencies to collectively elevate the national economy, expand employment opportunities, and enhance technical capabilities across industrial, commercial, and service sectors.
The forum provided donor agencies and partners with a platform to showcase their existing and planned programs and initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry.
Discussions centered on enhancing coordination, exploring complementary domains, and consolidating efforts among stakeholders to strengthen cooperation and integrate initiatives supporting private sector development and employment in Jordan.
