Qatar Welcomes Diplomatic Efforts To Settle Russia-Ukraine Crisis

DOHA, March 19 (KUNA) -- Qatar on Wednesday welcomed ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, particularly the agreement reached during a recent phone call between U.S. President Donald trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
In a press release, the Qatari Foreign Ministry voiced hope that these efforts could ultimately lead to a comprehensive and sustainable resolution of the crisis.
It reaffirmed Qatar's call for a peaceful resolution as dialogue remains the best means of addressing regional and international crises and conflicts.
Russian announced on Tuesday that President Putin had backed Trump's suggestion to immediately halt attacks "on all energy and infrastructure" in Ukraine. (end)
