Fresh US airstrikes target Yemen: Houthi group
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the Yemeni Houthi group declared a series of new airstrikes conducted by US combat aircrafts targeting areas in northern and western Yemen, as reported by local media outlets.
Houthi-run news agency stated: "An American aggression targeted the Asa'id area in the Al-Safra district of Saada province (northern Yemen) with four airstrikes," with no further details disclosed.
The news agency added: "The American aggression also targeted the Al-Ahli Sports Club building in the Al-Mina district of Al-Hudaydah province in western Yemen with two airstrikes, as well as the Bahis area in the Midi district of Hajjah province in the northwest."
In a separate development, the Houthi group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, stated in a televised speech that they had targeted the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier in the Red Sea using multiple rockets and drones.
