Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Bombings in Syria
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia strongly condemned a series of Israeli air bombings in Syria, accusing Israel of disturbing the area. In a statement released on Tuesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed its “condemnation and denunciation” of the attacks, labeling them a “blatant violation of international law.”
The statement further criticized Israel’s “attempts to undermine Syria’s security and stability as well as that of the region,” emphasizing that these constant actions violate international agreements and laws.
Saudi Arabia urged the global community to take a firm stance against such strikes and called on the UN Security Council members to fulfill their duties in addressing Israel’s ongoing attacks on Syria and preventing any further escalation.
In addition, the ministry stressed the need to activate international accountability mechanisms for these violations, reaffirming its support for Syria's government and citizens.
On Monday, Syria’s civil defense reported that three individuals were murdered while 19 others, including four children and a woman, were wounded during the Israeli air bombings on the southern city of Daraa.
