Indonesia Finishes Enovation of 17 FIFA-Standard Stadiums
(MENAFN) Indonesia has finished renovating 17 stadiums to fulfil FIFA standards and plans to expand this number in the next two to three years, as stated by President Prabowo Subianto.
During the inauguration at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium in East Java on Monday, Prabowo emphasized that these state-of-the-art facilities would elevate the country's football quality. He also confirmed that the stadiums had been thoroughly inspected and approved by FIFA.
"I would like to thank all parties who have worked hard so that today we can inaugurate all 17 international-standard stadiums, which have been inspected by FIFA and declared compliant with the requirements," Prabowo stated.
President Prabowo Subianto announced that the Indonesian government aims to further enhance the quality of football across the nation by increasing the number of FIFA-standard stadiums in various regencies.
In the next two or three years, we will build maybe 17 or even 20 more stadiums. Every regency must have good stadiums. That is our target, we will achieve it," he added.
