Chief Minister Yogi Reviews Progress Toward One Trillion Dollar Economy Target

(MENAFN- KNN India) Lucknow, Mar 17 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of the state's progress toward achieving the One Trillion Dollar Economy (OTDE) target during a high-level meeting on Sunday.

The meeting, attended by additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and department heads, focused on policy reforms, budget utilisation, and public welfare initiatives as the state pursues its ambitious economic goal.

Adityanath directed all departments to fulfill their responsibilities efficiently, emphasising the need to simplify processes across the board.

He specifically instructed that empanelled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana must receive payments within a month, while the empanelment process for new hospitals should be streamlined to improve healthcare delivery.

Officials were instructed to submit proposals for dedicated Anganwadi buildings, with the Chief Minister assuring full government support for this initiative.

Adityanath highlighted the expected GDP boost from the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and called for an economic impact analysis of the event.

He also emphasised the importance of identifying and elevating local start-ups to unicorn status to strengthen the state's economic landscape.

To mark eight years of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, a three-day special event will be organised across all districts to showcase achievements in service, security, and governance.

The Chief Minister announced that loan fairs and Janarogya Melas will also be held as part of these celebrations.

In a move to improve administration, Adityanath ordered officials to conduct weekend field visits instead of holding unnecessary meetings at headquarters, ensuring implementation at the ground level.

With rising temperatures, Energy Department officials were directed to engage with consumers and resolve electricity-related issues in the field. The Chief Minister also emphasised ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply in the Vindhya and Bundelkhand regions.

Departments showing low expenditure against budget allocations for FY 2024-25 will face review by the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) to ensure effective utilisation of funds.

A new policy will be introduced to resolve long-pending property sales, facilitating faster disposal of unsold properties.

The Chief Minister mandated that all police line construction and modernisation projects must be completed within stipulated timeframes, with regular monitoring mechanisms in place.

Additionally, all government employees will be integrated into the Mission Karmayogi program, with immediate implementation ordered.

Adityanath reiterated that fortnightly reviews at the additional chief secretary or principal secretary level, complemented by monthly ministerial reviews, will keep the OTDE target on track.

These measures aim to ensure effective contribution from every department toward reaching the state's economic goals.
