Netanyahu orders Israeli deputation to get ready for truce negotiations
(MENAFN) Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu hosted a talk with a deputation that came back from Qatar to negotiate truce talks in the Gaza Strip, as stated on Saturday.
At the closing of the talk that ministers along with security administrators took part in, Netanyahu commanded plans for discussions following a suggestion by United States Leader Donald Trump’s Special Mideast Envoy, Steve Witkoff, which covers the direct freeing of 11 Israeli captives as well as the bodies of half of the dead hostages, based on a report.
Formerly, Israeli news announced that Witkoff introduced a fresh suggestion during peace agreement meetings in Doha.
Israel’s news agency stated that Witkoff proposed prolonging the truce for 60 days while releasing 10 hostages in return.
Israel alleged to have agreed to the proposal, however, Hamas dismissed the suggestion, resulting in a pause regarding letting humanitarian goods enter Gaza.
