Palestinian Endowment: 80,000 Worshipers Perform Friday Prayers In Al-Aqsa Mosque

RAMALLAH, March 14 (KUNA) -- Some 80,000 performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, said the Islamic Awqaf (Endowment).
Worshipers from Jerusalem and occupied 1948 lands, and the West bank were allowed to enter to the Mosque, while scores of people were prevented from attending by the Israeli Occupation forces.
The governorate of Jerusalem said in a press release revealed that Israeli occupation Police had sealed off the old town area and had deployed hundreds of its forces in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa mosque.
Israeli occupation forces allows men over 55 and women over 50 from the West Bank to enter the city of Jerusalem on Friday during the Holy Month of Ramadan on the condition of obtaining a permit. (end)
