Turkey’s industrial production increases by 1.2 percent in January
(MENAFN) Turkey’s manufacturing output rose by 1.2 percent on a yearly basis in January, as reported by the nation's statistical office on Monday.
Ten sub-items marked a rise, whereas 3 sub-indexes witnessed declines in this month year-on-year, based on the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
Energy index rose by 6.3 percent, manufacturing index increased by 1.2 percent as well as electricity, gas, steam along with air conditioning product index increased by 5 percent in January 2024.
In the meantime, mining as well as quarrying index dropped down by 0.7 percent, non-durable consumer products index decreased by 1.4 percent while medium-high technology index dropped down by 3.8 percent on a yearly basis.
The industrial production fell by 2.3 percent, month-on-month.
High-technology index decreased by 30.7 percent, capital products index dropped by 13.1 percent, while manufacturing index decreased by 3 percent in January, month-on-month.
Oppositely, the mining along with quarrying index witnessed a monthly grow of 7.5 percent, durable consumer products index 2.9 percent as well as energy index 1.3 percent in January.
