Oman’s real estate transactions total over OMR 185mn


(MENAFN) Reports released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), indicated that by the close of January 2025, Oman’s real estate market recorded total transactions worth RO 185.5 million, marking a 10.8 percent decline from the RO 207.8 million registered during the same period in the previous year.

Revenue generated from finalized legal transactions was valued at RO 7 million, reflecting a 5.6% increase. Meanwhile, the total value of sale contracts declined by 20.9% to RO 79.9 million, with the number of contracts falling by 7.1% to 5,688.

The total mortgage contract value experienced a slight drop of 0.8%, amounting to RO 104.5 million for 1,705 contracts by the close of this year January. Additionally, 152 barter contracts were recorded, collectively valued at RO 1 million.

By the close of January 2025, the issuance of title deeds saw a marginal decline of 0.1%, bringing the total to 20,588. However, the number of title deeds granted to GCC citizens rose significantly by 19%, reaching 119.
