Putin praises Russian women on International Women’s Day
(MENAFN) Russian Leader Vladimir Putin praised Russian women on International Women’s Day on Saturday, complimenting their commitment, strength, as well as support to society.
"Today, words of love, gratitude and respect are heard everywhere. Our men express their appreciation to their mothers, wives, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, friends and colleagues, letting them know how much they are cherished and how deeply their contributions are valued, both at home and in the workplace, where they often take on complex professional challenges" Putin stated.
He praised women for succeeding in family as well as career life: “You truly do it all: taking care of children and scoring outstanding achievements in various fields, embodying both strength and grace, courage and tenderness.”
Putin additionally expressed his respect for women in the military forces, acknowledging their attendance in forefront hospitals as well as combat areas.
“My warmest words go to the women who are in places where it is most difficult right now. You are working in different spheres, including in field hospitals and on the front lines, doing your combat duty with distinction,” he said.
