(MENAFN- Live Mint) Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenky's brutal 'dress down' at White House due to a heated exchange with United States President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance received a strong reaction from Russia.

Backlashing Zelensky for calling Russia alone in the war, Russia's foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, said,“How Trump and Vance held back from hitting that scumbag is a miracle of restraint.”

“I think Zelensky's biggest lie of all his lies was his assertion in the White House that the Kyiv regime in 2022 was alone, without support,” she added.

A top Russian official sharpened his criticism for Ukraine and even called Volodymyr Zelensky a“pig” who got a tight slap at White House. He also supported Donald Trump allegation that Ukraine is gambling with World War III.

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, hailed Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky's confrontation and called it“historic”.
