Ukraine's economy rises by 1.5 percent in January

(MENAFN) Gross domestic product (GDP) in war-affected Ukraine increased by 1.5 percent in January, stated Ukraine’s Economy Ministry on Monday.

Ukraine’s first deputy economy minister Oleksiy Sobolev has stated, "The drivers of growth remain the construction industry, the processing industry, as well as domestic trade. "

He affirmed that a decrease in outputs has leaded the growth ratio to drop effectively, however, this impact was somewhat reduced by powerful financial support.

Street reconstruction, housing establishment, as well as the recovery of essential understructure served important purpose in strengthening the economy entirely.

Creation in the machine construction field increased due to the ongoing strong need for defense gear, he stated as the Russian-Ukrainian conflict’s third anniversary is only days away.

He also explained that a decrease in animal production was shown in agriculture as a result of the escalating output prices.
