PM: Ukraine Aims To Be Among Top Three AI Leaders By 2030

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine plans to introduce artificial intelligence into all key areas of governance and become one of the three countries leading in the integration of AI-based solutions by 2030.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an event dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of Diia, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Artificial intelligence is what will give Ukraine an acceleration. We strive to implement this technology in all key areas of governance - education, medicine, and business. A special emphasis is placed on AI weapons - from the formation of“drone swarms” to information systems for battlefield analytics. The use of AI in the fight against cyber threats and Russian propaganda is also relevant. Our future plans are very ambitious: by 2030, we aim to become one of the top three countries in the world in terms of integration and implementation of AI-based solutions,” the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal noted that Ukraine is creating an effective ecosystem for the development of innovative companies. In particular, defense-tech companies develop innovations for defense. These include the creation of smart drones, new solutions for drone automation, and the development of robotic systems.

Also, according to the Head of Government, the MedTech industry is developing, which creates opportunities for the rehabilitation of our defenders. We are talking about the prospects of scaling up the production of bionic prostheses and improving their functionality. At the same time, EdTech offers modern digital solutions for education.

“BioTech and AgroTech are new opportunities in biopharmaceuticals and accelerating soil restoration after demining, biofuel production, and innovative in-depth processing of agricultural raw materials to create high value-added products. This is an important economic goal,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, more than 200 defense-tech manufacturers are registered in the Diia space.
