Two Palestinians get killed in separate incidents in Jenin, Tulkarem
(MENAFN) Two Palestinians were killed in separate incidents in Jenin and Tulkarem in the northern occupied West Bank as Israeli military operations persisted in the region. Palestinian medical sources reported that Ahmed Abdel Halim al-Saadi, a child, was killed and two others wounded in Israeli shelling in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin. This brings the total number of martyrs in Jenin to 21 since the military operation began on January 21.
The Israeli military claimed that its air force targeted a group of gunmen in the Jenin area, as part of the ongoing operation. The Jenin Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, stated that its members clashed with Israeli forces near the German neighborhood in eastern Jenin. Israeli forces responded by closing off the area and launching combing operations. Additionally, Israeli forces demolished over six homes in the Jenin refugee camp, bringing the total number of homes destroyed during the operation to more than 100.
In Tulkarem, another Palestinian was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Tulkarem refugee camp. Israeli forces have maintained a tight siege on the camp, deploying snipers and continuing to force residents to evacuate their homes in several neighborhoods, including Al-Nadi, Al-Shuhada, Al-Ghanim, Al-Matar, and Abu Al-Foul. Reports indicate that several Palestinian homes in the camp were also blown up. The ongoing military operation in Tulkarem has resulted in three Palestinian deaths since its start. Israeli forces continued their raids across the West Bank at dawn on Saturday, targeting multiple cities and towns. Operations included arrests and home raids in Dura (south of Hebron), Ein Qinya (north of Ramallah), Balata and Al-Ain camps in Nablus, and Beit Fajjar (south of Bethlehem), among others.
