BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. The Victory Day
holds profound significance in Azerbaijan's history, as the triumph
attained during the 44-day Second Karabakh War in 2020 symbolizes
not only the restoration of territorial integrity but also serves
as a definitive testament to the national resolve and strength of
the state, Azerbaijani Political analyst Azer Garayev told Trend .
The analyst highlighted that the Second Karabakh War showcased
the cohesion of the Azerbaijani people, the expertise of the
military, and the resilience of the nation.
“The people, closely uniting around their leader, President
Ilham Aliyev, showed an unshakable spirit of patriotism. The common
goal was the liberation of the occupied lands. This unity became
one of the main pillars of victory,” he emphasized.
In the grand theater of military prowess, Garayev illuminated
the stage with the brilliance of the Azerbaijani army's expertise
and rigorous training. He painted a vivid picture of how the
infusion of cutting-edge weaponry and advanced technologies has
transformed the Azerbaijani Army into a formidable power.
In particular, the soaring presence of aerial sentinels,
pinpoint projectiles, and adaptable strategies have elevated
Azerbaijan's prowess in the theater of war, he explained.
"Despite all the pressure, Azerbaijan, while maintaining its
principled position, continues its just struggle. President Ilham
Aliyev's 'Iron Fist' strategy was important not only in terms of
military power but also political and diplomatic will. It showed
the world that Azerbaijan is a powerful state not only on the
military front but also in diplomacy.
The strategic significance of Victory Day for Azerbaijan lies
not only in gaining military advantage. This victory demonstrated
that Azerbaijan, as a strong state, has created new realities and
altered the geopolitical balance in the region. Azerbaijan has
further strengthened its position as a regional power," he
said.
Garayev emphasized that Victory Day was not just a day to
celebrate but also a stepping stone toward fulfilling Azerbaijan's
wish to open new doors for stability and cooperation in the
region.
"The liberation of Karabakh from Armenian occupation opens the
way for establishing a more solid network of economic ties in the
region," he said.
November 8 stands as a beacon of triumph and harmony, a torch of
history that will illuminate the path for generations yet to come,
added the analyst.
