Azerbaijan Allots Huge Area For Solar Power Plant Construction In Nakhchivan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) NAKHCHIVAN, Azerbaijan, October 21. An area of 668 ha has been allocated for the construction of a solar power plant in the city of Nakhchivan for the implementation of green energy projects, Deputy Head of the State energy Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Tural Murtuzaliyev told Trend.

He noted that an area of 1,163 ha in Kengerli and 1,311 ha in Babek district has been allocated for the construction of the solar power plant.

“Furthermore, in Kengerli district, 1,669 ha have been allocated for SPP and 2,196 ha for wind farms. In Shahbuz, 234 ha have been allocated for SPP and 64 ha for wind farms. In Julfa, 667 ha have been allocated for wind power plants,” Murtuzaliyev said.
