Local Investment Companies Bolster Azerbaijan's ABB Share Acquisition

Shares of the International bank of Azerbaijan (ABB) were purchased by 1,435 investors from various investment companies in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Abbas Ibrahimov said during a briefing on the results of the share issuance, Trend reports.

"Shares of the International Bank of Azerbaijan were purchased by 1,435 investors from various investment companies in Azerbaijan. The demand for the bank's shares increased by 7.8 percent compared to the previous period. Notably, 84 percent of applications were submitted through digital channels. Young people under thirty years of age make up 24 percent of the investors, while men represent 71 percent and women 29 percent. Additionally, 22 percent of applications came from regions outside the capital," the chairman said.

To note, in total, approximately 50 thousand applications from more than 33 thousand investors were received for the initial public offering (IPO).

This resulted in an increase in shareholders from 1,794 to 35,104 people.

The overall demand for ABB shares has risen by 7.8 percent compared to the previous period.

84 percent of orders for ABB shares were made through digital channels.
