Azerbaijani Tunes Take Center Stage In Norway's Concert Hall (PHOTO)

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. A chamber concert shining a spotlight on Azerbaijani music took place at the Norwegian Television and radio Symphony Orchestra hall, Trend reports, citing the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan.

The event was organized by Narine Musaeva-Folgeiro, an Azerbaijani violinist based in Norway, along with her colleagues.

Hailing from Sumgait in Azerbaijan, Musaeva-Folgeiro has racked up a treasure trove of accolades from both local and international competitions and festivals, proving she's got the Midas touch in her craft. For more than ten years, she has played the violin with the Norwegian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra.

Even though the concert was part of a well-trodden path in the chamber music world, the tunes played were fresh off the press for the Norwegian crowd.

The concert featured works such as "Arazbari," "Ashyg Sayagi" by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a string quartet sonata, "Miniatures from the Ballet 'Path of Thunder,'" "Journey" from the symphonic cycle "Don Quixote" by Gara Garayev, "Mugham-Poem," "Dance of Love" by Fikret Amirov, and "Bayati-Shiraz" arranged for solo violin by M. Gashimov and A. Aliyev.

The concert, drawing a crowd of both locals and visitors from nearby countries, was met with open arms and a buzz of excitement.
