Turkish construction company finishes container office project at Eregli Shipyard

(MENAFN) Karmod has successfully completed the container office building project at Turkey’s Eregli Shipyard, located in the Black Sea city of Zonguldak, according to a statement released on Wednesday. The newly finished 484-square-meter office facility is designed to support the shipbuilding sector and comprises six distinct blocks.

The project features a combination of four two-story blocks and two single-story blocks, with office spaces varying in size from 42 to 252 square meters. Karmod’s General Manager, Abdullah Yuceer, emphasized that the company utilizes a container construction model to create safe and durable office buildings while minimizing on-site construction activities.

Yuceer noted that Karmod’s efficient on-site assembly process enables rapid completion of projects. In the case of the Eregli Shipyard project, all six blocks were prepared for use within just six days. The container modules are pre-built in industrial facilities and then assembled on-site by specialists, who handle all aspects from bolt-nut connections to electrical installations.

The container buildings employ sandwich panel technology for their walls and roofs, which enhances temperature control and energy efficiency. This construction method not only reduces material wastage and labor costs but also provides businesses with quick and adaptable office spaces. Yuceer highlighted that the modular design allows for flexible configuration of workspaces to meet specific project needs, offering a cost-effective and streamlined alternative to traditional construction methods.
