Robotics Club Opens In Al-Baqa'a Camp To Foster Youth Engagement In Digital Technology

Amman, July 22 (Petra) - Rafiq Khirfan, Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs, inaugurated in al-Baqa'a Camp on Monday the Robotics Club, which is implemented by the Liwan Youth Space with support from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) through the "PART" project.
During the opening ceremony, Khirfan highlighted that the club's establishment aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II to focus on youth, digital transformation technology, and artificial intelligence.
He expressed hope that the club will benefit the residents of al-Baqa'a camp by offering training courses and opening up job opportunities in a field that is of significant interest and aids in keeping pace with development.
Khirfan acknowledged the German agency's 12 years of support, contributing to the development of many electronic services through its projects and partnership with the department.
Rana Taher, Director of Liwan, provided an overview of the club's services, adding that it will offer training courses in robotics for qualified young men and women in the camp. These courses will span 40 hours over eight days.
