The event will focus on sectors crucial to Polish-Qatari cooperation, particularly transportation and logistics, and will showcase leading conglomerates from both countries. This includes national airlines Qatar Airways and LOT Polish Airlines, as well as seaport operators QTerminals, which will make a significant and historic investment in Poland, and Zarząd Morskich Portów Szczecin i Świnoujście.

It will also feature discussions on emerging technologies and provide a platform for signing important bilateral agreements, he added.

Commenting regarding the panel discussions, Kulaga noted that there will be panels on transportation and logistics, artificial intelligence, and presentations highlighting the value propositions of both countries. Several important agreements will be signed, including one to support the incubation and acceleration of Polish startups in Qatar and Qatari startups in Poland.

This agreement involves the Qatar Science and Technology Park, the Kielce Technology Park, one of the leading institutions of its kind in Poland, and the Qatar-Poland Business Council, which will act as a liaison and support the commercialization and market entry strategies for startups from both countries, he explained.

The forum is organised by the Polish Trade and Investment Agency, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, Invest Qatar, and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha. The event is partnered with the Qatari Businessmen Association, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Qatar-Poland Business Council.

Kułaga added that the 5th edition of the Poland-Qatar New Tech Forum will host approximately 80 Polish tech companies. Poland is a significant player in several new tech sectors, including IT services and outsourcing, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and gaming.

Additionally, the biotech, healthtech, smart cities, IoT, renewable energy, clean tech, and robotics sectors are rapidly developing. Poland's advancements in these areas make it a vital hub for innovation and technology. Similar to Qatar, these sectors benefit from strong educational support, government initiatives, and a collaborative ecosystem of startups and research institutions.

The Qatar-Poland Business Council conceived the forum and successfully organised its four previous editions in Qatar: April 2021 (hybrid-virtual), November 2021, May 2022, and September 2023. These events were held in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, under the leadership of Polish Ambassador H E Janusz Janke and his deputies, Tomasz Sadzinski and Grzegorz Gawin.

This year, for the first time, the forum will be held in Warsaw. This significant relocation marks a new chapter in fostering international cooperation and innovation.

“We are delighted that our Qatari guests will have the opportunity to experience the beauty of Poland, which is increasingly popular as a tourist destination for visitors from the Gulf. Summer in Poland is the best time to visit. The forum will take place in the heart of Warsaw's historic Old Town, providing a picturesque backdrop for this significant event,” he added.
