Trump Could Still Be Undecided On Ukraine Policy - Ambassador Taylor

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ex-president of the United States, Donald Trump, may still not be sure what his policy will be in relation to Ukraine should he win the U.S. election this November.

This was stated by William Taylor, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (2006-2009), who spoke at the Kyiv Security Forum, reports an Ukrinform correspondent.

He noted that while President Joe Biden's policy regarding Ukraine was very clear, ex-President Donald Trump's policy is less so.

"We've heard different stories, different ideas, different projections about what his policy might be. (...) No one is entirely sure about this. He may make up his mind later on this! He may not know exactly what his policy might be," Taylor said.

At the same time, the diplomat drew attention to the fact that the Congress retains bipartisan and bicameral support for Ukraine and that the American people also support the nation.

“The $61 billion that was just voted reflects strong support from the American people,” the ambassador said, adding that, if the elections reflect the views of the American people whoever wins the election will support Ukraine.

“I think it is too soon to say who it is going to be but I am very sure that the American people's view on support for Ukraine will be reflected," the ambassador emphasized.

As reported, Biden's fundraising events in California involving stellar guests on Saturday raised a total of more than $30 million. Currently, his campaign is ahead of that of Donald Trump in terms of the money received from donors.
