Moscow holds BRICS drama school celebration

(MENAFN) In a celebration of global theatrical talent, Moscow welcomes aspiring actors from around the world for the seventh annual BRICS International Festival of Theatre Schools. This eight-day event, commencing at the All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKh) as part of the ongoing Russia EXPO, promises a vibrant showcase of diverse acting skills and cultural exchange.

The festival's focal point, Alexander Pushkin's timeless tale "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish," resonates with its universal themes and has been chosen to unite participants from various backgrounds. Dmitry Tomilin, the festival's head, emphasized the story's widespread familiarity and its alignment with epic literary traditions from across the globe during a press briefing.

Throughout the festival, attendees can engage in an array of workshops covering acting techniques, stage movement, and choreography, led by industry professionals. Additionally, renowned Russian actors and singers will grace the stage with captivating performances, enriching the cultural tapestry of the event.

As the festival unfolds, its pinnacle awaits on June 8 with a grand finale under the banner of "Let's Play Together." This inclusive format will see actors from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds joining forces on stage, fostering connections and dialogue beyond linguistic barriers.
