Several Directions Of Azerbaijan's AZTAF Nearing Completion - World Bank

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Four directions ofthe Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility (AZTAF) arenearing completion, the Country Manager of the World Bank (WB)Office in Azerbaijan, Stephanie Stollmeister, said during today'ssecond annual reporting meeting of AZTAF, funded by the EuropeanUnion (EU) and managed by the WB, in Baku, Trend reports.

"AZTAF is a technical assistance program funded by the EuropeanUnion and implemented by the World Bank. The program was created inclose collaboration with the government of Azerbaijan and theMinistry of Economy as the main partner, as well as in consultationwith other state institutions.

AZTAF aims to support the key goals and priorities of nationaldevelopment outlined in the Azerbaijan Socio-Economic DevelopmentStrategy for 2022-2026," she emphasized.

Stollmeister pointed out that AZTAF's technical assistanceactivities directly support the implementation of the activitiesand main directions of this strategy.

"The program covers a wide range of topics, from energyefficiency to women's entrepreneurship and 'smart villages',addressing a total of nine areas. It's encouraging that all ninedirections, about which we will hear more detailed informationtoday, are actively progressing towards achieving developmentgoals, with four of these initiatives already nearing completion,"she added.
