Turkmenistan Discusses Prospects For Developing Co-Op With Russian Vozrozhdenie Group


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 18. Turkmenistandiscussed prospects for developing cooperation with the Russian'Vozrozhdenie' Group, Trend reports.

According to an official source, these issues were discussedduring a meeting in Ashgabat city between the President ofTurkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the head of the'Vozrozhdenie' Group of design and construction companies, IgorBukato.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the currentstate of bilateral cooperation and promising directions for itsfurther development, taking into account the existing versatilepotential and the large-scale urban development program beingimplemented in Turkmenistan.

It was noted that the 'Vozrozhdenie' Group is alreadyimplementing a number of important infrastructure projects in thecapital of Turkmenistan.

Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan, implementing thestrategy of innovative development, is interested in applyingadvanced foreign experience and modern technologies in all sectorsof the economy.

In this regard, he expressed readiness to consider specificproposals from Russian partners aimed at deepening mutuallybeneficial cooperation.

Igor Bukato, in turn, assured that 'Vozrozhdenie' Group intendsto actively participate in the implementation of large-scaleprojects in Turkmenistan, using its rich experience and moderntechnological solutions.

Meanwhile, the 'Vozrozhdenie' Group of design and constructioncompanies registered its branch in Turkmenistan in September 2009and since then has commissioned more than 25 large infrastructurefacilities in the country.
