Uzbekistan, France Open Joint Chamber Of Commerce


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 25. Uzbekistan andFrance have opened an economic chamber in Tashkent, Trend reports.

According to Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry, andTrade, both sides discussed the prospects of French companies'activities in Uzbekistan in agriculture, tourism, mining, energy,and others.

During the event, the parties talked about providingcomprehensive support to both sides in the further development ofmutually beneficial projects.

In addition, Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry, and TradeLaziz Kudratov and President of the Uzbekistan-France EconomicChamber Joanna Golas signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, whichdefined specific mechanisms for further interaction within theframework of priority areas of the Chamber's activities.

Furthermore, the France-Uzbekistan Economic Chamber unites morethan 50 French and Uzbek companies and entrepreneurs.

The Chamber maintains relations with governmental authorities inboth countries and advises them on improving the businessclimate.

Meanwhile, trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan and Franceamounted to $337.1 million from January through March 2024. Exportsreached $237.3 million and imports totaled $99.8 million duringthis period.
