Empower Black Women in Tech: Join BWinB's Giving Tuesday for Inclusion & Innovation. Make a difference today!
WASHINGTON, DC, USA, October 24, 2023 /EINPresswire / -- Black Women in Blockchain (BWinB) is proud to announce its participation in Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving, which takes place on November 28th, 2023. This year, BWinB is calling on the tech community and supporters worldwide to join them in a mission to raise $200,000 to fund its mentorship program.
BWinB's programs are designed to address the under-representation of Black women in the blockchain industry and emerging tech by providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed. Their programs pair mentees with experienced professionals who can provide them with career advice, networking opportunities, and access to resources.
The impact of BWinB's programs has been significant. For example, one mentee, Aisha Johnson, was able to secure a job as a blockchain engineer at a Fortune 500 company after completing the program. Another mentee, Sola Ogunju, was able to launch her own blockchain startup after receiving support from her mentor.
The funds raised on Giving Tuesday will be used to expand BWinB's mentorship programs and reach more Black women who are interested in pursuing a career in blockchain. The funds will also be used to provide mentees with additional resources, such as access to training and conferences.
"We are excited to participate in Giving Tuesday this year and raise awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the blockchain and emerging tech," said BWinB Executive Director, Olayinka Odeniran. "Your generous donations will help us to empower Black women to succeed in this rapidly growing field."

Over the past ten years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Whether it's making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give. GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.
