Ominvest Holds First Esg Champions Forum

(MENAFN- Mid-East.Info) Ominvest, one of the oldest and most successful investment firms in the region, held its first ESG Champions Forum on Monday, August 21st for its group companies to share their successes, challenges, and expertise.
The ESG Champions program was launched in 2022 to help drive ESG integration within the Ominvest group companies. The program included a 32-hour training course conducted by the EPLO Institute for Sustainable Development. Since then, additional group companies have joined the ESG Champions initiative.
The training course equipped the ESG Champions with the skills to drive ESG integration within their respective organizations. They have worked with their teams to identify and implement ESG initiatives, measure and report on ESG performance, and communicate ESG progress to stakeholders.

The ESG Champions are at different stages of their journey. Some companies have already made significant progress in improving their ESG standing, while others are in the process of identifying material areas that would create the most meaningful impact. The Forum provided a valuable opportunity for the participants to share their experiences and learn from one another.
“It was great to hear from the other ESG Champions about their successes and challenges,” said Mohamed Al Adawi, Investment Analyst at Jabreen Capital.“It was also inspiring to see how committed everyone is to making a difference.”
The ESG Champions program is just one of the many ways that Ominvest is committed to sustainability. The company has also set ambititargets to reduce its environmental impact, improve its social responsibility, and strengthen its corporate governance.
