Rjnf Carries Out 2023 'Infinite Defender' Naval Exercise

Amman, Aug. 13 (Petra) - The 2023 Infinite Defender (ID) joint naval exercise on Sunday kicked off with the participation of Royal Jordanian Naval Force (RJNF), Royal Boats Command and the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT), in the presence of Deputy Commander of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and RJNF Commander, Col. Hisham Jarrah.
The two-week drill aims to implement a series of joint naval exercises within the framework of the strategy to enhance military cooperation between the Jordanian-U.S. navies and develop defense capabilities within shared operational plans, to achieve concept of comprehensive maritime security, according to a RJNF statement.
The exercise focuses on security training, combating piracy and protecting sensitive maritime infrastructure, as well as humanitarian operations, and joint expertise exchange in the areas of planning, command and control, the statement said.
