China, Iran share national identity, strategic objectives
(MENAFN) The alliance among China and Iran is constantly a source of contention. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) of China and Iran, launched in 2016, reflects both countries' shared national identity and strategic objectives.
Despite obstacles, the collaboration is progressing gradually. To protect the cooperation, China and Iran must collaborate to combat existential and possible domestic and foreign efforts to alienate both countries.
The alliance among China and Iran is based on similar principles and interests, four of which are particularly crucial.
The first is an attitude of mutual respect amongst cultures. China and Iran are both ancient civilizations with thousands of years of history between them. Unlike previous civilizations' connections, both of them were never on a collision course. Rather, the relationships had been characterized by peaceful transfers of goods and customs. Karez, as an old wisdom for dealing with drought, is proof of reciprocal learning among the two, however it is unclear who invented the method. Karez is one example, but he is not the only one.
