Poland warns to block borderlines with Belarus

(MENAFN) Warsaw may finish off “fully closing” its borderlines with Belarus, Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski has stated, referring to claimed frequent tries to intrude to his nations by workers of Wagner Group private military company (PMC).

The representative made the comments in a meeting with a news agency aired on Friday, maintaining the supposed “threat” from the PMC placed in Belarus still “very real.”

“We are considering any steps that will be necessary to protect our territory, protect our citizens, including the full isolation of Belarus, including full closure of the border,” Jablonski said.

“We would like to avoid this because it is a step of last resort to some extent. But, if there are continued attacks, continued attempts to destabilize our country, we might have no other option,” he further mentioned.

He also restated allegations that the firm’s workers have been attempting to break into Poland, also saying that they were anticipated to carry on such doings in order to “demonstrate they can do whatever they want.” The deputy FM did not offer any actual proof to support the claims.
