(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Tavria direction, the Ukrainian military repelled 17 Russian attacks over the past day without losing ground. That's according to Valeriy Shershen, the spokesman for the Tavria Defense Forces, who spoke at the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy attacked our positions along the entire front line 17 times. Under heavy fire from aviation and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled all attacks by the Russian occupying forces without losing positions. Heavy pressure from the air, that's 17 air strikes and six strikes by kamikaze quadricopters. However, the Lancets are the most annoying," Shershen said.
According to him, the enemy fired 515 rounds using tanks, anti-aircraft systems, and artillery. Missile and artillery forces in the Tavria direction carried out 1,289 fire missions during the day.

Over the past day, Ukrainian artillery utilized more than 7,550 shells and ammunition.
"Enemy losses are as follows: 84 KIAs, 117 WIAs, and one captured. Twenty-five units of Russian weapons and military equipment were destroyed," said Shershen.

The enemy launched airstrikes near Novokalynove, Avdiivka and Neverske. At the same time, their artillery fired on more than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka.
In the Marinka direction, Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The enemy shelled Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Heorhiivka, and Maksymilianivka. The Russians also went for unsuccessful offensive actions in the Rivnopillia area, shelled nearby settlements, in particular, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the Berdiansk direction, Ukraine's Defense Forces advanced half a kilometer along the front line and 750 m deep into the occupied territory in the Staromaiorske area.
