Iraq Backs Yemen National Dialogue - Pm


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, July 23 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani on Sunday underlined his country's support for national dialogue in Yemen, saying such efforts will be instrumental in restoring peace and security to the war-battered nation.
Baghdad equally backs international efforts aiming to ease the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen, the Iraqi prime minister told visiting Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad during talks in the Iraqi capital, according to a statement by his office.
Yemen's top diplomat acknowledged Baghdad's efforts towards security and peace in his country, saying the government there is "committed" to a truce aiming to cease the "devastating effects" of war. (end)
