(MENAFN) As stated by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Dubai's performance across all sectors continues to be robust in the first six months of this year, further solidifying its position as a significant global economic center.

He tweeted on Sunday that the emirate had welcomed over 8.5 million tourists in the previous six months, had become one of the top three wealthy-attractive cities in the world, and had recovered quickly from the Corona-virus epidemic.

"Dubai achieved new levels of growth and was at the forefront of many economic fields ... Dubai continues to reinforce its position as a major global economic hub, and will always be the best place to live and work worldwide," Sheikh Hamdan stated as he read a report outlining the key accomplishments of the emirate's financial performance in the first half of this year.

The emirate's expansion during the first half of the year was also boosted by Dubai's stock market's good performance as well as the real estate market.
