ULAN BATOR, Jul 10 (NNN-XINHUA) – Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan agreed to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation in a wide range of areas, according to a joint statement, yesterday.
The statement was issued, as Kyrgyz President, Sadyr Japarov, begins a three-day state visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Mongolian President, Ukhnaa Khurelsukh.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, culture, fighting poverty, mining, tourism, ensuring food security and promoting green development.
The two countries also agreed to promote the alignment of their national tree-planting initiatives to combat desertification and increase forest coverage.
Japarov arrived here yesterday, marking the first visit by a Kyrgyz president to Mongolia in 21 years.– NNN-XINHUA
